Memoria funds animated video to support families when discussing cremations with young children

Explaining to children what happens at a funeral and cremation can be difficult, especially when you as an adult are also dealing with the profound feelings of grief that surface when you lose someone close to you.

In support of one of our nominated charities, Child Bereavement UK, we funded this short animated video explaining to children what happens during and after a cremation service.

The video has been created to support families and helps children prepare for what to expect during a cremation or funeral service – helping them feel supported and safe during a challenging time in their lives.

Over the last two years we have raised over £360,000 for charitable causes including Alzheimer’s Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Ann Robson Trust.

We are proud to be able to support Child Bereavement UK who help grieving children and guide families navigating their new life after the loss of a child. They support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live. They also support parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.
